WELCOME!

We want you to feel welcome and enjoy worship.  Below are answers to some common questions when visiting a new congregation.

WHAT IS THE WORSHIP SERVICE LIKE?

At Living Waters our worship service includes music, readings from the Bible, a children's sermon, a regular sermon and communion.  We worship with a responsive liturgy (liturgy is an exchange of prayers, praise, and graces).  It is easy to follow along because we print it all in our worship programs and its on the projection screens. Services are typically one hour.  Most people worshiping with us dress causal and comfortable.  After the service is complete we invite everyone to come together for time to visit in the welcome center. Coffee and snacks are available.  See the ELCA's statement on worship here.

WHO CAN TAKE COMMUNION?

Holy Communion is celebrated at every service and all are welcome! We believe that Jesus is the host of this meal and invites all to be His guests. When you come forward, If you wish to receive a blessing please cross your arms over your chest.  Children not yet taking communion are welcome to come forward and will receive a blessing.

DO I HAVE TO GIVE AN OFFERING?

If you’re visiting with us, we don’t want you to think you have to give an offering. We are happy to have you here.  If you feel moved to give, we welcome financial gifts to further our ministries.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?

Children are welcome to worship with their family.  If needed the nursery is open during the worship services, we ask that a parent or guardian remain with your child in the nursery.

Sunday School is available after the worship service and runs September thru May.

CAN I BECOME A MEMBER?

YES!!   All types of people and families are welcome — seriously! The ELCA teaches that it doesn’t matter what your experience with religion has been or what kind of doubts or questions you might have about faith. You are welcome as you are.  Many ethnicities and cultures are represented in the ELCA. Together we strive to be a church that celebrates diversity and that welcomes all people as they are. Come as you are to worship, learn, serve and grow in faith with others.  Contact the church office if you are interested in becoming a member of Living Waters.
